From Children's Home to Nursing School

Updated: Jul 25, 2019

J grew up in the Children's Home run by P and B. There, they looked after as many as 30 children, who grew vegetables in a small plot, took care of animals, did chores in the home, and went to school.

J now teaches at the Grace School. In the picture below, some of her students are proudly showing off letters they wrote to their new pen pals at Little Harbor School in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Although she loves teaching the kids, J would like to go to nursing school, a three year long program. She took the entrance exam and placed 41st, but only 40 seats were available. She will try again next year to attend the school at MahendraNagar, near the western end of Nepal. We wish her much luck and happy studying!
