A while ago, our friends on the ground asked us if we could provide a pair of scissors for someone he knows. After learning that this man wanted to become a barber, we gladly sent the scissors along. His brother saw his success and decided that he wanted to be a barber too. We sent him a pair of scissors as well, and now, they both can earn a living to support themselves doing something they enjoy.

A pair of scissors opened the door for the employment of two men who might have otherwise had nothing. A tiny investment, well placed, can change the course of a life, a testament to how the smallest things can have the biggest impact for someone’s livelihood.
