After over a year of construction, the Peeperkoti church building is finally complete! This building was larger than any of the other raised platform buildings we have built, and so the construction process took much longer, especially when the pandemic arrived and further complicated the process. However, the builders persevered, and the community now has a safe and secure building of which to be proud. Below is a video of the inside of the completed building. They are planning to inaugurate the building with a celebration, once it is safe to do so.
Many thanks go to Christ’s Church in Joplin, Missouri, who funded the construction of this building. If you are interested in learning more about building sponsorships, please contact us at bridgetonepal@gmail.com.
We’ve posted previously about landslide relief in the Kalikot Region. We have started building relationships in that province, including the Salyan Region, a mountainous and remote part of Nepal. King’s Church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri is helping to complete the construction of a church/regional community center in this area. This building is different from the platform buildings we have been involved in lately, as the terrain and weather concerns in this district are vastly different. Below is a snapshot of the building so far, still in need of a roof.
